About Kamper Hire:
The Kamper Hire journey began in 2003, conceived by Mark Daysh. Over the past two decades, he has been offering the best camper van rental service, as evidenced by numerous satisfied customers and their cherished memories.
For 20 years, Kamper Hire has been delivering exceptional VW camper van rentals from their headquarters in Hampshire. The idea was sparked during a friendly gathering where Mark and his friends discussed their plans to attend the Glastonbury festival. Instead of settling for a tent, Mark was determined to rent a VW camper van for a more comfortable experience. Unfortunately, he found it difficult to locate a company that had a spare VW camper van for rent, so they ended up using a tent. This shortage of available VW vans inspired Mark to take action.
Driven by Mark’s passion for the great outdoors, he established the camper van rental business with a base in Droxford, near Southampton in Hampshire. He started with a fleet of four VW T2 Campervans, and soon, Kamper Hire began to flourish. As the company expanded its collection of charming and unique VW Camper Vans, it became evident that the older vans were less reliable. This prompted a shift toward a more dependable model of Camper Van.
In 2007, Mark sold his vintage vans to loving owners who appreciated their charm, then invested in a modern fleet of VW T5 California Camper Vans. With their reliability, impressive features, and enduring style, Kamper Hire continued to thrive. The newer VW California Camper Vans appealed to a wider range of customers, including those interested in European holidays and long-term rentals.
Kamper Hire’s versatile fleet began to accommodate various needs, such as family vacations during school holidays, couples’ getaways, and festival rentals. The company also started offering vans for UK holidays and tours, as well as long-term rentals for international visitors from the US, Australia, and New Zealand.
